My name is Dr. Brett Bothwell. I have been teaching high school mathematics in the Houston, TX area for my entire professional career (since 1995). I have my Ed. D. in Teacher Leadership; the title of my dissertation is “Teachers’ Perceptions of State Decision-Making Processes for Mathematics Curricula.” I also have a Master of Science degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I currently teach in a dropout recovery/prevention program for high school students in Klein ISD. I love my family, mathematics, chess, learning, puzzles, and games. I have a seemingly never-ending list of research interests and am seeking ways of changing education from the top down as my career moves forward.
